  Had a quick bite here and it didnt disappoint. Chicken burger was excellent as was the chips and gravy (mmm yum graaavy). Staff very friendly, new arrived very quickly. And great value for money for lunch - the $12 lunch menu was a sight for sore eyes after silly prices for similar type good in Port Douglas. I'd go back for dinner if it wasn't a 30 min drive from me right now.

  As on who travel extensively for work (and occasionally pleasure) and often to some amazing and not so amazing spots I admittedly love a good restaurant, but I also appreciate a good old fashioned ‘pub meal’ and can I tell you this place pulls a serious punch... having stopped in looking for a cold drink on a warm evening was so taken with the hospitality of the family owners that we decided to stay for dinner and it was the best decision we’ve made in a long time - we where fortunate enough for it to be a Tuesday the ‘buffet’ night ... now I know ‘buffet’ you say BUT this was amazing with everything from salmon, to ribs, fresh prawns, you name it, it was there and for the princely sun of $14 ( I’m going to warn you if you want a table get in early) it was full, the service fantastic and the food excellent. Don’t be put off by what looks like your average county pub facade this one really is the exception.
